Jamming Station Seeks Music Leaders to Support Young Musicians in Totnes
Jamming Station, the youth music space based at The Mill in Totnes, is recruiting Music Leaders and freelance facilitators to join its growing team. The organisation is looking for both long term leaders who can commit to a full 12 week term, as well as experienced musicians who can provide occasional cover on a freelance basis.
Who What Where
The roles involve leading band based sessions for young people aged 10 to 25, which take place on weekday early evenings. Participants work together in bands to build musical skills, confidence and strong relationships, with each term culminating in a live showcase at the Barrel House in Totnes.
Music Leaders at Jamming Station play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment, supporting young people with a range of needs, including neurodivergent participants. The organisation is particularly keen to hear from musicians who enjoy working in youth led, informal creative spaces and are motivated to help young people feel supported and inspired.
Both employed and self employed options are available, with pay dependent on experience. Anyone interested is invited to apply by sending a short cover email and CV to info@jammingstation.co.uk. The deadline for applications is 22 December.
This role is supported with funding from Devon Music Education Hub, Mercers Members Philanthropy and Totnes Town Council.
