Devon-Cornwall Fusion Restaurant Latest Addition To Buzzing New Part Of Town
Just in time for the summer rush, a brand new Cornwall-Devon fusion restaurant, Grockle, is proving a big draw for tourists. Already known for its formidable Devonian cuisine, Totnesians are delighted for renowned head chef Stannedin McPlaceholder to open up in the trendy new development on Emmet Road. The first of its kind, Grockle will offer such culinary delights as a deconstructed crab and vegan cheddar pasty, a diabetic-friendly breatharian pudding, and a delightful cream tea that incorporates a blend of both cream and jam on first.
The new development on Emmet Road is the most talked about part of town. Situated right between the Bull Inn and the River Dart, with regular bus services, copious parking, a new doctors’ surgery and NHS dentist, and genuinely affordable housing, local residents are excited for interesting shops and restaurants to arrive on the scene. The area has benefited from a regeneration scheme designed to make out-of-towners feel even more welcome to spend their money locally, with the targeted ad campaigns in Shoreditch and Stokes Croft considered a success. A new pub, the Blow Inn, is also expected to open its doors within weeks.

Head Chef Stannedin McPlaceholder explained the philosophy of the team. ‘I grew up near here, and want to recreate the joy I had whenever my gram-gram made me traditional crab and vegan cheddar pasties – I want to be able to relay that experience to whoever’s got enough money to call Totnes home.’
McPlaceholder has already proven the formula, with his highly successful London-Essex fusion restaurant, Waffle Stomp. ‘I’m very excited to set up shop in an area with so many trendy, rich customers, and the prospect of more Londoners and Bristolians bringing their refined tastebuds and fat wallets.’
When asked for comment about their prices possibly excluding a lot of locals, he replied ‘We’re shaking up the Totnes fusion restaurant scene by expanding common notions about, yaknow, value for money and all that. This isn’t for the poors – rich people have to eat too.’

The Grockle and the Blow Inn Pub!!!! You guys are very funny 🙂
