The Glade hosts the 1st Youth Festival

After ten community assemblies in Totnes, with more than 500 participants, two issues stand out as being of highest concern amongst Totnesians: housing, and youth services and facilities. With the Housing Hub now up and running, and young people in Totnes are craving connection, sharing, building, and being, Assemble are co-hosting a Youth Festival and Assembly on Saturday 1st of August, at the Glade.

The festival, hosted by and for 16-30 year olds, will be an opportunity to actively focus on wellbeing through listening circles, yoga, saunas, singing, and other workshops.

A shared lunch around a fire will lead into a youth assembly to discuss what needs to change in Devon for young people, and decide on real actions to take forward. The evening will bring conscious celebration of our young power: silent discos, live music, mocktails, featuring brilliant local bands and artists, free sauna, free lunch, workshops and yoga.

These two events form a series that attempts to provide power and possibility to young people in Totnes. We want to hear what is important to Youth in Totnes, and what they need to feel resourced and able to participate in the community.

The festival is at The Glade, Dartington from 11am to 10pm.
