Smalls 

My husband kindly offered to hang up my smalls today
I thanked him profusely but asked why he had hidden
the smalls hanging contraption on the end of the line?

Well, he said some of them are ragged and the neighbours might…….
Oh dear, it’s true
they are bad
but going to M&S with strip lights and intense shoppers,
horrifies me.

Don’t worry I say
we’ll hang them on the shed hook
no neighbour will see them

An hour later postie
the window cleaner
Evri delivery man
my neighbour
walked past my ragged smalls in all their sunny glory.
