Hopes And Expectations

Two Generations. One Town. A Lifetime of Change.

A contemporary story bringing relatable characters and touching moments that celebrate the beauty and messiness of life. A brandnew publication from Chronos Publishing and the third novel in the Eastwood Story series by Devonbased author, Richard Frost MBE.

Published to coincide with World Storytelling Day,
Hopes and Expectations continues the heartfelt tales of Eastwood Minster, a community where love and loss, joy and laughter, and hope overcoming adversity bind lives together. Sophie and Matt West are expecting twinsa hopeful new chapter shadowed by memories of the past and the challenges of raising a growing family. But as old adversaries resurface, like school bully Robert Jordan, and unspoken grief lingers, the couple must draw strength from their closeknit community.

Meanwhile, Eastwood Minster hums with its own dramas. Liz James and Alice Nichols hope the town will curb its gossiping, though they know better. Former students Tracey and Jack are navigating heartbreak and uncertain futures, while Will Taylor’s world is unexpectedly set alight. Amid it all, young Tilly dreams of football glory, determined to one day play for England.

This new book follows on the Eastwood Stories, Looking to Move On and Living the Difference. The Eastwood Stories are written partly with the reader in mind as to how best they can relate their own experiences of what life brings, said Richard who lives in Marldo.
