Totnes Community Assembly’s biggest day yet!
Affordable housing Assembly and Fun-raiser Sat 7th March Civic Hall
Affordable housing is the top issue affecting people in the Totnes area, according to the 1000+ people surveyed and 350+ who’ve attended our Community Assemblies so far. This is unsurprisng as outside London we have the UK’s biggest gap between local wages and house prices.
Whether you’re owning, renting, in a van, or on the streets, chances are youve experienced this directly or know someone who is experiencing it as you read this.

With expert speakers on tap, not on top, this 8th Community Assembly will bring together all the assemblies run in the area so far to create an action plan so that as a community we can help replace the developer-led housing causing so many problems with community-led housing.
A Community Assembly is a well facilitated public gathering where everyone has an equal voice, meets neighbours, share ideas and really listen to each other. With all the lived experiences and perspectives brought into the conversation in this way fresh, common-sense perspectives can thrive.
Doors open at 3.30pm – for a 4pm prompt start. Bring food to share.
Book your place at this link.
Or just turn up! All ages welcome.
Immediately following there will be a Fun-raiser featuring local bands Shakalaka (Afrobeat), Phat Planet (ska, dub, pop) The Jazz Version, Akasha and DJ Truk.
Both events will feature a big Raffle with dozens of prizes donated by local artists, businesses and shops.
Tickets by donation £3/5/8

Let’s be honest, this is just another left-wing, ‘progressive’ talking shop. Lots of keffiyehs on display, no doubt. Round up the usual Totnes suspects.
