Welcome to your new community magazine.
This is the start of an exciting project that aims to inform, entertain and maybe even ruffle a few feathers, dedicated to Totnes and surrounding villages.
Mark El-Kadhi founded the site previously and Peter Shearn has now joined forces with him and together with your support we intend to make this the go-to place for up-to-date comprehensive event listings, local business / charity articles and personal profiles, opinion pieces, community news and in-depth analysis of local affairs. We fully intend to get Totnes Pulse into print with a monthly magazine which will be widely available in the town.
Everyone gets a say…
Totnes Pulse isn’t a democracy, it’s a community and without you, we will not succeed. Please send us your suggestions and criticisms. If you want to write about something that you are passionate about, let us know, the email is firstname.lastname@example.org and if you would like to help us, again get in touch.
Our what’s-on events section is aims to be exhaustive with community support – if you have an event or know of one not listed, you can upload it yourself: in the What’s On, Add an Event section. If you host many events, get in touch. We can provide you with a log-in and you can upload all your own events to the site.
Local Businesses and Community Groups
Great works go on in this town, commercial, charity and support. We intend to highlight as much as possible. We are gathering together a complete list of all cafes, pubs and restaurants which will include a 90 second walk-in video introducing the team behind the business. Want to be our very first brave cafe/restaurant? Get in touch.
Possibly because this town is such a melting pot of people, Totnes is known for a lively debating nature and we are keen to get the lowdown on how national issues affect us along with opinion pieces from a wide variety of viewpoints. On any controversial topic, we aim to enable a fair range of informed views to have a platform here. Is your argument or problem not being heard? Let us know.
This is a crazy, beautiful, exasperating, exciting, fantastic and unique town. It wouldn’t be the same without you. We look forward to reflecting back the stunning nature of Totnes and surrounding villages. So please get in contact with your suggestions, and add events to the What’s On section.
