Can Totnes be Carbon Neutral by 2030?

-Totnes Town Council has Declared a Climate & Ecological Emergency

With the involvement of Totnes residents and businesses as well as the views of visitors and experts, The Town Council are asking for assistance in creating an Action Plan that will enable the town to be Carbon Neutral by 2030 and support our biodiversity from major extinction by mitigating our impact on wild species and Protecting and Enhancing our Natural Environment.

The Town Council are inviting members of the community to the Totnes Town Council Climate & Ecological Emergency Action Planning Week taking place from 3pm Sunday 3rd November through to 6pm Saturday 9th November.

This week of Planning activities will comprise an interesting and inspiring week of exhibits, workshops and sessions around the topic themes that have been identified to date where the intention is to develop the many proposals and actions put forward to date to be developed into pathways and timelines for the actions we all need to take. There will be plenty of opportunity to meet others with similar interests and understand more about how we can reduce our carbon footprint.

The Council are very keen for everyone to participate during the week of Action Planning for a session or workshop that is of interest as this is a matter that affects everyone without exception.
